We're looking for passionate and enthusiastic individual to be the Guide to the San Antonio site on About.com!
What sort of information do we want the new Guide to provide?
Well, we're looking for someone who can help locals (particularly locals who just moved to the area) learn about the ins and outs of San Antonio that a tourist wouldn't necessarily need to know: how to get civic services, best schools, where to live, along with reviews of restaurants and nightlife.
What sort of person are we looking for to be the new Guide to San Antonio?
Our ideal candidate will live in or around Las Vegas, have published writing experience covering the area (either in a blog, magazine, or newspaper), and know how to keep their ear to the ground to find out what's happening in their area.

Fiesta San Antonio opens on Friday, April 18, 2008. On the first day of Fiesta, you can head to Alamo Plaza for the opening ceremony and take part in many of the other events held throughout the day.
Remember that the carnival is now in the Alamodome parking lot this year.

Spurs Finish Regular Season on a High Note

The
San Antonio Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz 109-80 on Wednesday to finish the regular season with a record of 56-26 - good enough for the third seed in the Western Conference.
Tony Parker led the Spurs in the victory with 24 points and 12 assists.
The Spurs will open the first round of the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns at the AT&T Center this Saturday.

Fiesta San Antonio Commission

runs from Friday, April 18 through Sunday, April 27, 2008. In total, there are nearly 100 events taking place in the city-wide festival. One of the favorite events of many San Antonio residents and visitors is Night in Old San Antonio.
Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) is put on by and benefits the San Antonio Conservation Society. This year, NIOSA dates are from Tuesday, April 22 through Friday, April 25, 2008 from 5:30pm to 10:30pm each night. Visitors can enjoy ethnic food, music, dance and other activities, while learning about different heritages.
