Manu Ginobili Makes Triumphant Return to Spurs

Tuesday November 25, 2008
In a moment that Spurs fans across the city were waiting for, Manu Ginobili finally made his season debut last night against the Memphis Grizzlies. He turned in a 12-pt performance in just 11 minutes of play. Talk about efficiency!

Manu had been out for the first 12 games of the season due to an ankle injury that has hampered him since last season and then into the Beijing Olympic games. He had successful surgery on it last summer and seems ready to make steady contributions again to his team.

The injury news continued to get better as head Coach Gregg Popovich said that the Spurs expect starting point guard Tony Parker to be back soon as well, perhaps as early as Friday.
