There are several events taking place in D.C., many of which will be televised. But there are also a few things going on in San Antonio, as well.
First, the Texas Democrats will host their own Inaugural Ball at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. For more information, visit their website and buy tickets - you can still attend, even at this late hour!
Time Warner Cable has taken the time to give some of the poorer areas of San Antonio free cable for the day in order to show the televised events. The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and the Avenida Guadalupe Association will both now have access to TW cable for the day.
Antioch Missionary will host a prayer service before the 9:00 a.m. viewing of the ceremonies and will also show the parade at 1:00 p.m.
The Avenida Guadalupe Association will show events from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The viewing will be open to anyone and the guests will include community and business leaders, neighborhood business owners and West Side residents.
