If you were worried about rain for the kickoff down at Alamo Plaza, then there are still plenty of events this weekend that you can attend that will be just as much fun, maybe more depending on what you like.
First is the Oyster Bake, a Fiesta tradition that will take place Friday (5-11:00 p.m.) and Saturday all day from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the gate, or $16 pre-sale at any HEB.
A Taste of New Orleans is another Fiesta Favorite that should not be overlooked. This year's event will be at the Sunken Garden Theater, with tickets going for $10 pre-sale at HEB or $12 at the gate. Here is the schedule:
Friday, April 17: 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Saturday, April 18: 12:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Sunday, April 19: 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
