Cheaper Summer Energy Bills in San Antonio?!

By May 20, 2009

Yes, you read that right. CPS is predicting that this summer's energy bills will be cheaper than last summer. In fact, they predict that the average customer's bill may drop by 13.5%!

If this prediction holds true, that means that average bill will cost $142.95, or $22.23 less than last summer.

This is good news for people who are feeling the pinch of the economy, especially with kids expected to be home all summer, meaning more electricity being used.

You can also cut down on your bill by using energy efficient light bulbs. CPS has issued coupons for discounted bulbs at HEB. Their aim is to have 1 million energy efficient light bulbs in local homes and businesses. So far, HEB has sold a whopping 669,000! Keep up the good work, San Antonio!
