Attention Aspiring San Antonio Filmmakers!

By May 26, 2009

The San Antonio film industry is growing, along with interest from future filmmakers. Even with this interest, though there is still not a ton of publicity regarding feature films made here (or at least produced by locals).

For this reason, I vow to do my part by writing about events that affecting this burgeoning industry in our city. And that begins here, with information about tonight's San Antonio Film Forum.

Tonight at the Central Library Downtown (600 Soledad Street), join current and future San Antonio filmmakers in what will be a monthly informational forum held from April to November. Topics will range from DV filmmaking to funding your film.

The forum is free and open to the public (though you do have to pay for parking) and is from 7:00-8:30 p.m. There is also a half-hour session for networking starting at 6:30 p.m.

For more information about this or other San Antonio filmmaking events, contact janetv@filmsanantonio.com.

If anyone has any tips on future events such as this, email me and I will add it to the Events Calendar and blog about it!
