San Antonio Road Closures on Twitter

By June 4, 2009

Getting stuck in traffic due to an accident is one thing -- they happen so suddenly that you often can't change course fast enough to avoid them. But what about scheduled traffic closures that were foreseeable, but you just didn't know about them? Talk about frustrating!

In case you didn't know, TXDOT is on Twitter, and they have a specific page just for San Antonio closures. If you have twitter, follow @TxDOTSanAntonio for up-to-the-minute info in road closures and re-openings.

Don't have a twitter account? No worries! Click on the same link and you will see a complete list of all TxDOTSanAntonio posts, without having to sign up for an account. But you also won't get the alerts in real time like you would if you had an account. Either way, it is faster and easier than searching their official website for info.

Speaking of Twitter, About.com San Antonio will soon be tweeting, so stay tuned!
