Happy Father's Day!

By June 21, 2009

For some reason, Father's Day doesn't seem to get nearly as much attention as Mother's Day does. So if you are one of those who barely realized yesterday that today is the big day, I have some last-minute ideas for activities and gifts:

Dads can enjoy a day with the kids at the San Antonio Children's Museum. Here both child and adult can have a great time together, which is what Father's Day is all about. And saving money is always a good idea. Plus, you still have access to all their regular exhibits as a part of your ticket.

Is dad a science buff? Take him to the Time, Space and Galileo in the International Year of Astronomy at the Witte Museum. Again, adults and kids alike will love it.

Hungry and on a budget? Most restaurants will be pretty slammed (and pretty expensive) on a holiday, but A&W is offering 90 cent Papa Burgers to celebrate their 90th anniversary. And don't forget to get a frosty mug full of their root beer on tap.
