Automobile organization AAA wants a ban on texting while driving in Texas - a law that surprisingly does not already exist in the Lone Star State.
Many states all over the country already have a ban, but Texas does not, and AAA wants to do something about that, and their aim is to get it done by 2013. Four years sure seems like a long time to try and get a law enacted, but considering that AAA is trying to get a texting ban enacted in all of the 50 states that don't already have them, they may need that much time.
In an informal poll by the Dallas Business Journal, 89% of those questioned said they would support such a ban. Would you support it, and if so would you like to see it passed into law before 2013?
