The Best Dance Hall in Texas is Closer Than You Might Think

By January 26, 2010

Many locals have been to nearby Gruene. And why not? It's a nice scenic drive and the town has a whole lot to offer than San Antonio doesn't. Small town charm, antique stores, a downtown straight out of an old-time tale and lots of good places to eat.

Well, now you can add dancing to the list of things to do in Gruene, especially if you want to dance at the place the Southern Living Magazine designated as the Best Dance Hall in Texas. Gruene Hall, built in 1878 sits on the banks of the Guadalupe River and is a great place for live music, dancing and just having fun.

The magazine loves Gruene Hall so much, in fact that they have made a special Gruene Hall Survival Guide so that you know the best times to go and what to expect. Now you have no excuses for going and checking out this Texas landmark.
