Warrant Roundup Adds $2 Million to City Coffers

By March 22, 2010

Recently I told you about how the City was going to start sending out officers to arrest people with outstanding warrants. A grace period was given at the beginning of March where you could pay your tickets without penalty or fear of jail time.

Due to this grace period, over 25,000 warrants have been cleared off the books with more than $2 million in fees collected.

The annual Texas Warrant Roundup was the fourth of it's kind and as you can see, was a great success. How do you feel about such roundups?
