San Antonio Vets to Get Green Jobs Training

By June 17, 2010

The move to make San Antonio more green is getting a big boost soon thanks to some federal funds that have been released for GI job training.

Military veterans who live in the Alamo City will soon be able to access new job training for green jobs that will lead to more jobs in the renewable energy sector.

In total, over $9 million in funds will be given to train more than 4,000 veterans. The local piece of that big tasty pie is for $500,000 which will be given to the American GI Forum National Vetrans Outreach program in San Antonio.
