Just last week I told you of a very innovative program that helps out injured war veterans and the environment at the same time. A week later, there is more good news to report for both San Antonio and the environment.
City Public Service (CPS) has been heavily pushing their green initiatives and now they are putting a big investment back into them for the future. They recently agreed to a 10-year, $50 million partnership with UTSA for green research to help the utility company in the future.
The new partnership has been coined the Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute and will focus on what it's name implies -- sustainable energy. It will also help CPS establish itself as a green energy powerhouse while helping UTSA achieve a higher status, something that it has long worked for.
With this new lab, an upcoming football team and the recent accolades the University is getting, do you think UTSA is finally getting the recognition and status it deserves?
