Children who have an interest in photography, now have a chance to showcase their work and bring awareness to the environment at the same time.  Entries are now being accepted for The Picture Your World Youth Photography Contest, presented by the Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas.

Professional photographers will judge photos in two categories: ages 8 -12 and ages 13- 18. $1,200 in cash prizes will be awarded, along with a chance to be featured inside the Witte Museum. Non-returnable images must be submitted, with $15 entry fee, by Wednesday, April 18th by 5 p.m.  Jpegs and tiffs are preferred via email or CD; in 10x13 inches and 300 dpi. They cannot be digitally enhanced; cropping and minor adjustments to color, contrast and brightness are allowed.

Photographs can represent nature and the environment in any of the following area counties: Bexar, Kendall, Comal, Guadalupe, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, and Bandera.
