Witte Museum Annual Fiesta Exhibition 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 3801 Broadway This exhibit will run through July 31st, featuring the artistic, gorgeous coronation gowns from years past.� More than 170 gowns are on display. Fiesta Flower Show (final day) 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. 1717 San Pedro Now in its 99th year, the Fiesta Flower Show will showcase creative fresh and dried floral arrangements and displays.� Youth exhibits will also be featured. City of San Antonio Fiesta Medal Now on Sale

Professional photographers will judge photos in two categories: ages 8 -12 and ages 13- 18. $1,200 in cash prizes will be awarded, along with a chance to be featured inside the Witte Museum. Non-returnable images must be submitted, with $15 entry fee, by Wednesday, April 18th by 5 p.m.� Jpegs and tiffs are preferred via email or CD; in 10x13 inches and 300 dpi. They cannot be digitally enhanced; cropping and minor adjustments to color, contrast and brightness are allowed. Photographs can represent nature and the environment in any of the following area counties: Bexar, Kendall, Comal, Guadalupe, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, and Bandera. Grant for Local Film Industry

"San Antonio has a great wellspring of creative talent, particularly when it comes to filmmaking," Mayor Juli�n Castro said. "This is a positive investment that will increase the exposure of the local film industry and the many talented individuals who are involved with it." Interested filmmakers must have a project in the pre-production stage with $25,000 in funding commitments.� Grant applicants must submit by June 8, 2012 A selection panel of motion picture experts will review each application and rate them on : Artistic & Production Excellence, Commercial Viability, and Financial Position. "Support for local feature films is important because it develops long-term production relationships," said San Antonio Film Commission Director Drew Mayer-Oakes, "relationships that are necessary to maintain and grow the industry locally."
