San Antonio loves its arts, cultures and holidays! Here's a list of some festive events coming up in November.

1. Wurstfest

When:
November 4 - 13, 2011
Admission: $8
Children 12 and under free

Where:
Landa Park, on Landa Park Drive near Fredericksburg Road in New Braunfels

German culture takes center stage during this 10-day festival in New Braunfels. Visitors can enjoy German food, special events and Alpine and Bavarian entertainment. Wursfest opens at 5 pm weekdays, 11 am on the weekends. Call 830-625-9167 for more information.

2. Diwali at HemisFair Park

When:
November 5, 2011 @ 6 pm
Free Admission

Where:
HemisFair Park, 200 S Alamo St

Celebrate Indian culture during Diwali, Festival of Lights. This event features live enterainment, Indian cuisine, craft market and more. 1000 diya candle floats will adorn the HemisFair fountain; a laser spectacular starts at 8:45 pm.

3. Gingerbread Challenge

When:
November 12, 2011 from 9am - 12pm
Free Admission

Where:
Pearl Studio, 200 E. Grayson Suite 115

This new holiday tradition is dubbed an "Iron Chef" style competition, as local architects and designers lend their talents to a creative three hour Gingerbread House challenge. Competing houses will then be on display at the San Antonio Children's Museum through December 31st.

4. Las Nuevas Tamaleras

When:
November 25 - December 18, 2011

Where:
Guadalupe Cultural Arts Theater, 1300 Guadalupe St.

Las Nuevas Tamaleras iscomedy centered on the art of making tamales for the first time, and the spiritual awakening that accompanies the experience; directed by playwright Alicia Mena. For more information, call 210-223-2009.

5. The Kings of Salsa

Where:
Majestic Theatre, 208 East Houston Street

Discover the rhythms of salsa, mambo, reggae and other dance scenes during this live performance at the Majestic Theatre. This energetic Afro-Cuban show features talents from some of Cuba's premiere dance companies. Call 210-226-2891 for more information.

6. Holiday River Parade & Lighting Ceremony

November 25, 2011 from 7 to 10 pm
Where:
San Antonio River Walk, 602 E. Commerce

The Holiday River parade and lighting ceremony has been a San Antonio staple for nearly 30 years. This one-hour parade features lavish floats along the River Walk; more than 1 million LED holiday lights will also make its debut for the season.

7. Holiday Boat Caroling

When:
November 26 - December 18, 2011
From 6:30 pm - 9:45 pm

Where:
San Antonio River Walk, 602 E. Commerce

The Paseo del Rio hosts this community caroling event that will feature local schools, businesses, churches and more. More than 185 organizations will participate in this mass multi-day singing event via boats along the River Walk. Performances start at river level by the Chamber of Commerce.

8. Hollydaze on the Riverwalk

Where:
Arneson Riverwalk Theatre, 418 Villita

San Antonio's Parks and Recreation department brings music and dance to the Arneson just in time for the holiday season. Pre-professional dance groups and a youth band will entertain holiday-themed performances. Other Parks and Recreation programs will also be featured. Call 210-212-6771 for more information.

9. Yo Gabba Gabba Live

Where:
Lila Cockrell Theater, 200 E. Market

DJ Lance and friends are getting to party in San Antonio. There's a Party in MY City is a live, interactive show filled with music, games, dancing and more. Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex and Toodee are all along for the ride.
