About Art in the Garden:
Art in the Garden is an annual art exhibit at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

The 4th Annual Art in the Garden begins Thursday, July 26, 2007 and runs for a year. The exhibit feature the sculpture of two artists - James Surls and Katie Pell.

Art in the Garden Artists:
James Surls is a nationally known sculptor who primarly works with wood steel and bronze. His sophisticated, edgy sculptures have been exhibited in various venues around the country, including The Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

Katie Pell's works include ceramics, painting and drawing. She claims her art expresses the "excruciating negotiations needed when confronting sexism, class and racism."

Art in the Garden Admission:
The San Antonio Botanical Society and Blue Star Contemporary Art Center are co-sponsoring the Art in the Garden sculpture exhibit.

Admission to the exhibit is included with the general admission price to the San Antonio Botanical Garden - $6 for adults and $3 for children.
