About Dog Days of Summer:
Dog Days of Summer is an annual event at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

During this special weekend, visitors are encouraged to bring their leashed dogs to the Garden for special pet related activities and displays.

2007 Dog Days of Summer:
The 2007 Dog Days of Summer will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 4-5, 2007. The San Antonio Botanical Garden will open early at 8:00am and close at 5:00pm.

The second annual Dog Days is sponsored by the San Antonio Botanical Society, Humane Society/SPCA of Bexar County, the Animal Defense League and San Antonio Animal Care Services.

Dog Days of Summer Activities:
The event will feature educational booths, adoption information, demonstrations, and pet products for sale.
  • Microchipping by the Humane Society - $25.00
  • Photo with you and your dog by ADL - $5.00
  • Pet licenses for sale by ACS - $5.00
There will also be pets available for adoption, canine contests, raffles and much more. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day exploring the beauty of the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

Don't miss out on the Art in the Garden exhibit.

Dog Days of Summer Admission:
General admission to the San Antonio Botanical Garden ($6-adults, $4-military, $3-children) will be taken at the gate.

Additionally, a donation of $5 per dog will be collected and contributed to the Humane Society SPCA, Animal Defense League, Animal Care Services and the San Antonio Botanical Society.
