Guide Review - Zinc Champagne and Wine Bar

At Zinc, you will find three distinct seating areas - the bar, the lounge and the courtyard. The bar, which is always alive on weekend nights, is a comfortable place to people watch and have a few drinks. Though champagne and wine are the specialty at Zinc, they do offer a full bar with built-in floor to ceiling shelves. It does get smoky at times in the bar area. Therefore if you are sensitive to smoke, you may opt to sit outdoors instead.

The wine selection is top-notch and features a variety of European and domestics, as well as a terrific array of champagne.

The adjacent lounge is a great place to get cozy with a date or just hang out with friends on one of the modern-style sofas. The outdoor courtyard patio, dubbed Charles Court, is a tropical experience. Surrounded by greenery, brick and fountains, it's a terrific oasis to get a breath of fresh air and relax.

Zinc offers a full dinner menu on Friday and Saturday evenings and an appetizer and sandwich menu during the week. The highlight of the menu is the lamb sandwich, but their bread and cheese plates offer the perfect complement to their wine selection.

If you are having a private party, consider renting Zinc's wine cellar. Surrounded by crates, barrels and 7,000 bottles of wine, this unique venue is ideal for a rehearsal dinner, anniversary party or other private event. The high-beamed ceiling is accented with twinkling lights and grapevines, making for a beautiful private setting.
