Boerne Overview:
Boerne, the county seat of Kendall County, Texas, is boundaried by Cibolo Creek, I-H 10, and US Hwy 87. Boerne is located approximately twenty-five miles northwest of San Antonio in Texas Hill Country.

The origins of the region stem back to German settlers in the 1850s and the German influence can be seen around the city today in the form of architecture, community organizations and festivals. The city of Boerne was named after Ludwig Boerne, a German poet. The current population of Boerne is estimated at about 7,500.

Take I-H 10 northwest from San Antonio for a little over 25 miles and you'll find yourself in Boerne, Texas.

Boerne Market Days:
On the second weekend of each month, vendors from all over South Texas gather at the Gazebo in Main Square for Boerne Market Days. It's a fun-filled event where artisans display their wares, including antiques, arts and crafts and collectibles. Food booths, entertainment and more highlight each weekend.     Every November Boerne celebrates Victorian style, where vendors dress in costume and carolers entertain on the streets. Families enjoy carriage and hayrides as everyone loves the festive atmosphere.
  • Weihnachts Parade Weekend
    Each December nearly 100 floats entered this historic holiday parade down Main Street. Enjoy the terrific German traditions and festivities.
  • A Hill Country Christmas
    Boerne also has a river parade, Cowboy's Christmas and many other holiday events and activities throughout December.
