Things to Do in San Antonio on Thanksgiving

By

If you aren't cooking this Thanksgiving, have no fear. There are a lot of places to go and eat on Thanksgiving in San Antonio.

Luby's

A true San Antonio tradition, many people dine at Luby's on Thanksgiving. The full selection of turkey or ham and trimmings is available in the usual Luby's cafeteria-style service. All San Antonio locations will be open, and hte price of the meal with dressing, gravy, two sides and a roll is just $9.99 plus tax.

Golden Corral

All area locations will be open, though the hours could vary. Enjoy buffet-style Thanksgiving offerings including turkey, ham, and all the trimmings.

Ryan's

OK,so technically this is in New Braunfels, not San Antonio. But the food is so good that you will definitely find it worth it to take the short drive out to the suburbs. The Thanksgiving offerings are offered buffet-style. There is usually a wait during peak hours as this is a very popular place.

Menger Hotel

Reservations are required, and prices are higher than most places on Thanksgving--$42 for adults and $15.95 for kids. Seniors are priced at $38. But it is worth every penny, as the entire meal is gourmet from start to finish. You can choose from traditional turkey or lamb chops or pork loin roast for something a little different.

Old Country Buffet

The usual country-style cooking of traditional dishes is proof that great food can still be had on Thanksgiving. Plus, you can shop before or after in the store. In fact, many people come to shop who don't even eat there, just to get out of the house and work off some of those holiday calories.
