About Calle Guadalupe Parade and Festival:
This annual event takes place as part of the Diez y Septiembre events commemorating Mexico's independence from Spain.

The 2007 Calle Guadalupe Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday, September 15th.

Calle Guadalupe Parade:
The parade will take place beginning on S. Brazos and Guadalupe Streets at 11:00am. It continues west on Guadalupe Street to Zarzamora, ending at 700 S. Zarzamora. Parade Map

The grand marshall of the 2007 parade is Nadine Velazquez from "My Name is Earl." The honorary grand marshall is Vicky Rodriquez - Conexion 2007 "Hottest Latina."

Calle Guadalupe Festival:
The festival takes place at Historic Guadalupe Plaza (1327 Guadalupe Street). A special kids area sponsored by Valero will be set up with face painting, games, moonwalk and many more children's activities.

Music will include live bands and singers, as will as DJ's. Visitors will enjoy food and shopping booths throughout the plaza.

The parade and festival is presented by the Avenida Guadalupe Association.
