Hill Country Village Overview:
Hill Country Village is an incorporated city in the North Central area of San Antonio. As the name indicates, the area provides a little piece of the hill country right in the middle of the busy city. Just seconds from Highway 281, you will find beautiful, hilly, tree-lined streets, huge homes on sprawling acreage, and plenty of wildlife, particularly deer.

It is an upscale area with the average home price near $400,000. Several homes have tennis courts, swimming pools and horse stables.

Hill Country Village History:
In the late 1940's, Hill Country Village became the first subdivision North of San Antonio. People came to the area looking for peace, quiet and a lot of land. Each tract of land sold was a minimum of nine acres. Winding Way and Tower Drive were the only paved streets in Hill Country Village at the time.

In 1956, the Village of Hill Country Village was incorporated. The name since has been changed Town of Hill Country Village and now currently City of Hill Country Village.

Hill Country Village Boundaries:
The City of Hill Country Village is located about two miles North of the San Antonio International Airport. It is bordered on the North side by the Town of Hollywood Park and runs just West of Highway 281.
