Terrell Hills History: Terrell Hills is named after one of its first residents, Frederick Terrell who tried to get the area to be recognized as a residential addition in the late 1920s. By 1939, the population was strong enough to try and incorporate itself.
It succeeded but was almost reversed in 1945 when the City of San Antonio tried to annex the municipality without an election, a decision the courts decided was illegal.
