Have you ever seen a famous 300-year old church seemingly out of place, nestled between modern buildings? If not, you haven't been downtown yet! The San Fernando Cathedral (finish on March 9, 1731) is a historical monument located on a very busy commercial street. Like many things downtown, the mix of old a new suits the church, which was built as the city itself was being built. It is the oldest active cathedral on the United States.
