Tickets and Passes Available Now for the 2009 Fiesta Carnival

From , former About.com Guide

As soon as the Easter celebrations are over, it is time for San Antonio to gear up for the biggest party of the year -- Fiesta! The 2009 Fiesta Carnival begins on April 15, one day before the official kickoff of Fiesta 2009.

Overview

After a tumultuous year in 2008 in which there was a fatal shooting at the carnival, the city and Fiesta Commission have vowed to clean things up.

With increased security provided by the SAPD, Wade Shows is putting on what could arguably be their best show yet.

The new Midway will feature live circus acts such as highwire performances and a main stage with plenty of musical acts.

All proceeds from the carnivals will go to the Fiesta San Antonio Commission to support it's yearly activities.

Location

This year's carnival will be held at:
Alamodome Parking Lot C
100 Montana

Admission and Prices

Admission to the carnival is free, though the fun and games are not. Here is a breakdown of the prices:

Unlimited ride wristbands:
Monday-Thursday, $18
Sat. & Sun., $20

There is also an online special for weekday wristbands that gives you a $14 price tag for weekdays, with a weekend upgrade available for $2 more. There is also a $1 surcharge per band, which is still a discount off the regular price.
