If fall is your favorite time of year, then Halloween may just be your favorite holiday (or at least rank high up there). Halloween is now officially the no. 2 holiday behind Christmas in terms of merchandise and events, and San Antonio has no shortage of any of them.

Fall Festival at the San Antonio Botanical Garden brings families together to celebrate the traditions of Halloween and the excitement of fall gardening. Join family fun activities including pumpkin decorating, plant sales, nature walks and storytelling. Other spooktacular activities include games, crafts, storytelling, spooky science and a creepy, crawly display. Come in costume and take part in the parade, or take family photos with pumpkins, colorful fall cut-outs, scarecrows, and more!

10/31/09, 1-4:00 p.m.Why do some sounds frighten or make us happy or sad? The San Antonio Symphony will explore these questions with a spooky performance. Come dressed up in costume (family friendly, please)! Admission is free with museum admission, which runs $7. No reservations needed, but space is limited so come early.
