Description

Guide Review - Mi Tierra Cafe Y Panaderia

The menu at Mi Tierra is standard Tex-Mex. Every time I've eaten there, the food was adequate - not bad but definitely not outstanding. My biggest complaint was about the flautas, which taste like they are reheated from frozen. Most other dishes were average compared to other Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. However, the green enchiladas are very tasty.

Mi Tierra Panaderia (Bakery) is very good, offering a great variety of panes dulces (sweet breads) and dulces (Mexican candies). They have delicious empanadas in different flavors, such as pumpkin and sweet potato.

The atmosphere is extremely festive. Strings of Christmas lights hang from the Mi Tierra ceiling year round and strolling musicians entertain throughout the restaurant.

One thing that you shouldn't miss is the margaritas. Whether you order with dinner in the dining room, or from Mi Tierra's popular baroque-style bar, their jumbo margaritas ($7.75) are some of the best in San Antonio.

Mi Tierra's lunch specials are the biggest bargain. Served Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 3:00pm, you can choose from soups, chalupas, and enchilada plates, starting at $6.50.

Private banquet rooms for up to 200 people can be reserved for special events.
