Guide Review - Taverna the Corfu

The atmosphere is casual as the restaurant is located inside the lobby of the Palladium Theaters. Beautiful paintings and murals grace the walls.

The menu consists of gourmet pizzas, pastas and fresh salads. They offer a special, where you can select spaghetti or rigatoni with a choice of several sauces. The salad is very fresh with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms and red onions, along with your choice of dressing. The meal is served with a side of bread.

They also serve sandwiches and other specialties. The price of the pasta and salad meal is about $7.00 and it's a very hearty full portion (you can also order half portions).

The pasta was good - not great but definitely satisfying. The tiramisu ($6.75) was excellent.

The drinks are slightly overpriced at Taverna. And I don't just mean the alcoholic drinks - iced tea was $2.77. Margaritas and martinis are about $8.00.

Overall, Taverna was a nice experience and an upgrade over typical movie theater food. The Palladium makes for a nice date place - you can see the latest movie, have a real dinner at Taverna, and hang out upstairs at The Agora Bar for drinks.
