Cornyval

From Kori Ellis, for About.com

About Cornyval: In the 1960's, Cornyval began as a means to benefit Helotes non-profit organizations. The festival takes places at the Helotes festival grounds.

The grounds are located on Leslie Road just off of Bandera Road (North of Loop 1604) across from the entry to O'Connor High School. Helotes is just right outside San Antonio.

Cornyval is a four day festival, consisting of over 60 food and craft booths, three days of rodeo events, a terrific parade, a family fun area and a full carnival. The festival proceeds help charities in Helotes and fund scholarships for the Miss Helotes Scholarship Pageant.

2008 Cornyval: Cornyval takes place from Thursday, May 1, 2008 through Sunday, May 4, 2008.
