About Fiesta Flambeau Night Parade : The Fiesta Flambeau Night Parade is one of three major parades that take place during Fiesta® San Antonio each Spring.

Dubbed the "People's Parade", the Flambeau Night Parade attracts more than 500,000 people along its 2.6 mile route and another 1.5 million watching it live on television. The parade takes place on the last Saturday of Fiesta.

Flambeau Night Parade History: Flambeau is the French word meaning tall candlestick or burning torch. The Flambeau Night Parade illuminates the final weekend of Fiesta San Antonio with a terrific parade of lighted floats, dancers, musicians, singers, horses and cars. Read about the history of the Fiesta Flambeau Night Parade on the parade website.
Flambeau Night Parade Route: The Flambeau Night Parade will take place on Saturday, April 26th, 2008. The parade begins with the Junior Vanguard at 7:00pm and the actual parade procession immediately follows at 7:45pm.

More than 50 floats, 40 bands, and numerous clowns, entertainers and horses, as well as Fiesta Royalty, are featured in the parade.

The goal each year is for the parade to be finished in under two hours.

Flambeau Night Parade Volunteers: The Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association (FFPA) consists of 180 members who pay dues for the privilege of working on the parade. In addition, there are at least another 250 non-member volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering, please call the parade information line at (210) 735-5566.
