Known as one of the most ornate venues in the country, the Majestic was built in San Antonio in 1929. For many years it was the largest theatre in Texas and second largest motion picture theater in the United States. The Majestic Theatre is the sister property to San Antonio's Charline McCombs Empire Theatre.
The Majestic is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and was listed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1975.
The Majestic Theatre was renovated and re-opened in San Antonio in 1989. With its elaborate, beautiful Mediterranean architecture, the Majestic truly is a majestic site.

The 2311-seat theatre is home to the San Antonio Symphony, plays, operas, musical concerts, comedy performances, and much more.
The Majestic Theatre box office is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday hours vary, so it is best to call and confirm at (210) 226-3333. The box office accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card.

From the San Antonio Airport or most locations within San Antonio, take Hwy. 281 South, exit Commerce Street. Turn right on Commerce Street to Navarro. Make a right on Navarro Street to College. Make a left on College Street. The Mid-City Parking Garage will be on the immediate right.
There are several parking garages and lots in the area of the Majestic Theatre. The most convenient garage is the Mid-City Parking Garage located on the corner of College Street and Navarro.
